Ten represents Completion, end of a cycle and renewal. 10 can also become 1 (1+0 = 1) and therefore the tens represent the same things as the Aces but on a higher level. Many 10s in a reading can indicate endings which will soon transform into new beginnings.

For some, this Ten can also be a moment of realisation: that it’s not possible, or fair on you, to try to do everything all at once, all of the time. An additional interpretation is overthinking and, if this is the first card up in reading, can suggest that it’s best to read another time.

Meaning The Ten of Swords often comes as a relief in a reading, because it marks a swift ending to a stressful series of events. The outcome may not be what you hoped – in fact, you may feel shocked at just how a particular situation has unfolded – but it is for the best, as all the tension leading up to this decision or incident now disappears. It’s absolutely clear where you stand, and you can move ahead, quietly and with no more drama. 

Power Message Don’t look back or feel you have to salvage your pride. This ending has happened so a  new opportunity can come your way.
